Hi Anne...each of these images have great formal/ compositional connections to each other. The bear hunting one makes me think straight way of Manet's 'Lion Hunter', but in your one there is s role reversal. Check it out:

That's very true, I guess your own eye knows what it likes and joins the dots for you. I kind of forgot about Manet for a while thanks for the reminder and what a great painting.
