A return to my sometimes diaristic tendency to report from the studio. Recently watched a great Irish-made documentary on actor Richard Harris. His rendition of MacArthur Park was one new revelation to me, as well as the fact that he was five times Racquets champion at Kilkee. Forthcoming sports-themed group show at the Naughton Gallery QUB has got me working on this small painting, titled something like 'The actor Richard Harris hit the ball so hard it sometimes left holes in the wall'.
