Waldi
Waldi was created as the mascot for Munich 72 Olympics by Otl Aicher. A Dachshund composed of the selected colours of the Games, which combined embraced the intention of the friendly 'Rainbow Games'. 'Dachs' is badger in German- the dog is shaped to hunt below ground in burrows. Much of the construction for Munich 72 used the rubble of WWII as hardcore, for the foundations from which a new Olympic city could emerge. I have cut out a template of Waldi for a small painting, the ink was running out in my printer.
